Mr Giles Davies
Mr Giles Davies is a Breast Surgeon in London, who studied at Harrow School and St Georges Hospital where he was awarded the William Brown and Devitt-Pendlebury Exhibition for outstanding achievement in part B of his MBBS examination. After graduating in 1997, he undertook basic surgical training at the Royal London Hospital and then specialist surgical training in the South West Thames Specialist Registrar Rotation.
During his surgical training, he undertook a two year period of research at the Royal Marsden Hospital where he was awarded his MD Thesis. His research has been widely published and he has presented research at international meetings in Australia, Japan and the USA. In 2006 he spent a year on an international Oncoplastic Fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia as the Senior Registrar and Oncoplastic Fellow where he was trained in Oncoplastic surgical techniques of the breast. More recently Mr Davies has expanded a research team based at Kingston University where there is now a thriving research group of 8 researchers investigation the link between the virus that causes cervical cancer Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and breast cancer.
